Find out more about our next conference
The NIMTA Conference is taking place at The Wallace High School, Lisburn on Saturday 26th September 2026.
Tom Manners is the keynote speaker and he will use his session to focus on improving problem solving among students. Tom is an experienced teacher educator who speaks and leads CPD online and in many areas across England. We are very excited for him to visit Northern Ireland and share some of his research and applications. More information about Tom can be found on his website.
The conference is also an opportunity to think more practically about some ideas and hear from local teachers who are making a difference in their classrooms. There will be a selection of workshops to choose from on the day. Further details will be released soon.
The conference is the perfect opportunity to pick a focus of development for the year ahead, learn something new or connect with previous colleagues and friends. We would love for you to join us!
Tickets will be available in May.
We are looking for workshop leaders for the upcoming conference. Last year's workshop leaders had a blend of teachers, academics and CPD leaders. Everybody is welcome to submit a proposal if they think they have something valuable to share.
Workshops will be around 40 minutes in length and delivered to around 20 teachers during each session.
Sessions last year included themes like Retrieval Practice, the Nature of Mathematics, A Level Statistics, Metacognition and introducing the Grid Method.
The link to register a workshop proposal is here.
